BARCELONA

As soon as we arrived into Barcelona, I couldn't wait to explore the city and eat my favourite food...paella!

We caught the train from El Prat Airport, straight to the Metro which was only 100 metres from our accommodation. This trip we stayed with Hotel Catalonia, which was prime location! The popular tourist attractions were all walking distance, although we spent a lot of time relaxing on our terrace, and swimming in the pool.

La Rambla, was one of the main highlights with quirky stores and endless amounts of food; from fresh fruit smoothies, to empanadas, and every flavour of gelato you could think of. The architecture was breath-taking, from Gaudis detailed creations, to the influence of modernism.

Barcelonette Beach was the perfect way to spend a day. Full of locals and tourists, all soaking up the Mediterranean sun. The Surf House was our go-to cafe, with a relaxed atmosphere and delicious food.

I can't wait to go back to Barcelona, to explore more of this Mediterranean city.
